I would also say that may media product has similarities with Q magazine. I wanted to produce a music magazine that was indie rock. Whilst researching magazines I found that Q and NME often used artists with indie rock music. The colours and layout they used I felt appealed  to readers who like indie rock. There was a lot of ideas that I used from both magazines.

 

My media product uses most of the conventions used in real media products. My media is very conventional and I do not really challenge magazine conventions.
