In my focus group I shared some of the ideas I already have for my music magazine.
I presented the idea of calling my magazine IR. The feedback I got from this name was positive. The others in the group expressed they thought this name was simple but effective because it was short and to the point.
In my focus group I shared some of the ideas I had about fonts. I was told in the group to not have too many fonts. My original plan was to have a font for my magazine title, a font for my double page spread heading and a font for my contents page heading. In the focus group I was advised to use the same font for headings on the contents page and the double page spread. Because of this feedback, I will not have too many fonts.
From my focus group I learnt that my colour scheme of red, black and white is a good idea for a colour scheme.
The next thing I need to think about is some more ideas for my double page spread and contents page.
Some of the questions I asked in my focus group were:
What do you like about my ideas so far?
Is there any ideas that you don't like?
Do you think IR is too simple for a name?
What should I think about next?
Good - could you perhaps post the questions you asked, too?
