Planning- Coming up with a font.

I knew for my font I wanted something relatively bold but quite simple. This was because from my research I have found this is common for magazines. I think having something bold is good for an indie magazine because it creates a powerful effect.
I used pixlr to look for fonts that I liked, and here is what I found:
I chose these because when I saw them I could picture them in my magazine. Some of them I thought would be more suitable for headings rather than the magazine title. For example I think Surface is not bold enough to be on the cover of a magazine but if it was a heading then it would work.  I think my personal favourite font for a magazine title is Gong!
However when designing a magazine it is important to consider other peoples opinions and not just your own. That is why I created a survey and I asked others which fonts they liked and for what purpose. I also spoke to a small focus group to get their opinion.
